#1 Little Dickens Day

Visit Deerassic Park's Open House and Cookies with Santa. Make a $5donation to Secret Santa or bring a toy in exchange for a Deerassic Dozen (14) tray of sugar cookies that you can decorate on site! All of the decorating supplies will be provided. Santa will be available for a limited time (TBA).

Enjoy Christmas movies and crafts as you spend some time with us during our Open House. In addition to cookie decorating, various stations will feature ornament making, dress-up, storytelling, and more. Food will be available for purchase.

#2 Steeple Walk

Location: Historic Downtown Cambridge

Historic churches located in and around downtown Cambridge will open their doors to showcase their beautiful architecture and special programs. The event is sponsored by Cambridge Main Street and each of the participating churches as a gift to the community.

Each church will present its own program. There will be beautiful decorations, scripture, poems, skits, and outstanding musical offerings. Traditions, history and customs are explained. Costumed guides will lead the walkers from church to church.

It is a timed procession with each program starting on the hour and half hour.

You may join or leave the Steeple Walk at any time but those who do the entire walk will be eligible, at the end of the tour, for a drawing for gifts donated by the downtown merchants and churches.

The walk begins at First Baptist Church and is followed by a visit to additional churches each half hour. There are five participating churches and it is always a rewarding afternoon.  The walk finishes at First Christian Church on Beatty Ave. Chris Hart will perform following refreshments. There will be a "United Way" Cookie Walk at this church.

#3 Miracle on 34th Street

Based upon the 20th Century motion picture, Miracle on 34th Street.

Performances are Fri-Sat, 12/1-2 at 7pm and Sunday 12/3 at 3pm also Fri-Sat 12/8-9 at 7pm and Sunday 12/10 at 3pm

Tickets are available at the door the night of the performance or by calling 740-261-4304.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for Seniors and Students. Children under 2 are free.

#5 Historic Trolley Tours

Spend an hour with a costumed guide to enjoy a narrated historical tour that covers not only downtown Cambridge and its Victorian Scenes, but also several outlying historical areas.  Your trolley passage will provide you with a $1.00 discount to any museum stops.

Tours depart from the Dickens Welcome Center at 745 Steubenville Avenue beginning at 10:00 am and ending at 5:00 pm with the last tour departing at 4:00 pm. Tickets cost $10.00 per person and may be purchased at the Welcome center or below via PayPal. Note: online orders do not receive mailed tickets; please present your confirmation page to claim your tickets at the Dickens Welcome Center on the day of your tour.

 11/25/17 Trolley 10am-3pm. Trolley will participate in Main Street Parade.

#6 Dickens of a Good Time

#7 Gingerbread House Contest and Display

Gingerbread houses are a delight for all ages! Come see what our local gingerbread artisans have created for the Gingerbread House Contest. And, look closely, not all gingerbread houses are houses! Imaginative dwellings of all types are made entirely of edible materials.

Gingerbread Houses will be on display for public viewing & voting at the Guernsey County Senior Citizens Center Monday through Friday from 8:30 am through 3:30 pm. Admission is free.

Winners will be announced on December 9th.

#10 Themed Scavenger Hunt

Youngsters and adults alike will have a "dickens" of a good time hunting for the Dickens mug hidden among store items of various businesses in the historical downtown Cambridge. After completing your scavenger hunt entry, return the sheet to the Welcome Center by 2pm. Shortly thereafter, a drawing will be held from the  returned entries and a bag filled with prizes will be warded to the winning entry.

Entry sheets complete with instructions are available beginning at  10am on the day of the scavenger hunt at the Dickens Welcome Center & Curiosity Shoppe, 745 Steubenville Avenue.

The Cambridge Singers, Ohio's longest continuously-active mixed choral group, will celebrate their 51st season with a Christmas concert on Sunday, December 10, 2017, 3:00 pm at the Scottish Rite Auditorium in downtown Cambridge.  Ticket prices for the yuletide show, entitled "Spirit of the  Season", are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children age 12 and under.  Tickets may be purchased in advance at Penny Court or from any Singer member, or will be available for sale at the door.  There is no reserved seating for this event.

#16 Christmas Tea and Tour at the Colonel Taylor Inn

Christmas Tea and Tour at the Colonel Taylor Inn The annual Christmas Tea and Tour at the Colonel Taylor Inn will be Sunday, December 3 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. The Colonel Taylor Inn will be “dressed for the holidays” and open to the public.
